IT that works for you

Jay Lewis CEO Byte Network Solutions Nashville TN

Our CEO, Jay Lewis, has been working with technology for over 20 years and has a wide range of IT and business experience, as well as a depth of knowledge with medical, dental, and legal technology support.

Jay's wife, Dr. Cristin McPherson Lewis of Bite Dentistry is a leading dentist in Nashville, and he has frequently assisted in helping managing the office, where they serve as the official team dentist to the Tennessee Titans!  In 2008, Jay realized that dentists and other small businesses in the middle Tennessee area didn’t have an IT company that truly understood the specialized needs of them.  This led him to start Byte Network Solutions, which combines the experience of an IT professional with the practical side of business. This has helped Byte Network Solutions build an excellent reputation, and to stand out among all other IT companies.

Many mainstream IT companies simply don't understand the unique needs of small businesses.  In speaking to other companies in the area, Jay found out that many companies were frustrated with their IT company.  They didn’t get the same “white glove service” that larger corporations expect, and had no one to give them expert advice or strategic coaching. Byte Network Solutions was born out of this need and quickly became a thriving business.

Our spirit of philanthropy is in line with many other companies that believe we server a higher purpose beyond just generating a profit and doing business.  I was honored to hear John Mackey speak in 2017.

John Mackey (CEO of Whole Foods, and the author of Conscious Capitalism), actually emphasizes that businesses have a higher purpose.  On their company website they state the following: "We believe that business is good because it creates value, it is ethical because it is based on voluntary exchange, it is noble because it can elevate our existence and it is heroic because it lifts people out of poverty and creates prosperity.  Free enterprise capitalism is the most powerful system for social cooperation and human progress ever conceived. It is one of the most compelling ideas we humans have ever had. But we can aspire to even more."

At Byte Network Solutions, we believe that our business has a higher purpose, and we thank our customers all over the United States who choose Byte Network Solutions over other frugal-minded low end technology companies.  Byte CEO, Jay Lewis, added "We believe our customers choose us in part due to our involvement in great programs that serve the greater good, such as Interfaith Dental ClinicTeam SmileThe Heimerdinger FoundationThe Peterson Foundation For Parkinson’sHabitat for Humanity, the annual Tom Murphy Golf Classic benefiting the Melanoma Research FoundationVanderbilt Children's Hospital for Cancer Research, as well as many other benevolent organizations we support who give back to the community.  Being profitable is not a bad thing, it allows us to contribute to these great causes, and separates us from most other IT companies who simply want to focus on low prices."

In closing, John Mackey said, "I.T. [Information Technology] is not a necessary evil, it is the most important thing for a business, and it is only becoming more important."
